Finding Form

Beginner Stained Glass

3 weeks · 2 hours per session · $225 · All materials included
No experience required

Finding Form teaches the essential skills needed to build a stained glass project from start to finish, with an emphasis on scoring, breaking, and fitting straight cuts. You’ll cut and grind your own glass, apply copper foil, solder the pieces together, and finish a complete project.

You do not need to take First Light before registering. First Light uses mostly precut glass, while Finding Form teaches you how to cut the glass yourself. Each Finding Form option features a different beginner-friendly project while developing the same foundational skills and preparing you for Finding Flow, our course focused on curves.

Monday Miniatures - Evenings (3 weeks)
$225.00

Create your own tiny Tiffany - an 8” stained glass window in the copper foil tradition and connect with an old-world craft through every careful step. As you choose, cut, shape, foil, and solder each piece, you’ll watch separate fragments of color come together into a luminous window made entirely by your own hands. More than a finished project, it’s a chance to slow down and experience the quiet satisfaction of shaping glass into light.

Straight-Up Sundays - Mornings (3 weeks)
$225.00

Create your own geometric stained glass panel in the copper foil tradition while learning the foundations of working with straight lines. As you choose your design and glass, then hand cut, shape, foil, and solder each piece, you’ll watch simple angles and separate fragments come together into a luminous work made entirely by your own hands. More than a finished project, it’s a chance to slow down, build confidence with the glass, and experience the quiet satisfaction of shaping clean lines into light.
